Saturation= Threshold or reverse is also possible..

This is flow of conversation of an interviewer and a candidate(basically, who had just started his career).. is all set to take over each other..
  • After all the greeting..Your CV is quite impressive so what all have you done? -(what a question to start with), any how the candidate briefs his experience.
  • What do you think is your biggest achievement? (what do you think a person working in small/ mid size firm would have achieved?)but candidate tries to explain his good work.
  • The interviewer is not happy ,asks again, your achievement? (Are we CID or Finance Minister or Businessman to show that cos' of us there is economic growth)(a person who works in a medium/small  audit firm will understand this better as an assistant there is nothing much to achieve other than audit finding) somehow candidate baffles and says some technical skills.
  • Next, what was your biggest challenge? (This time candidate is sure to collapse, but tries to recollect his challenges) says some difficult situation he had encountered.
  • Interviewer then, do you have say for ex: banking and insurance experience?(though he has read the CV and is very sure about the experience the candidate possesses ,but still)-(This is last nail in the coffin-candidate gives up) says do you a copy of my CV? Interview says YES,then you can see that i do not have that experience.
  • Interviewer then, sorry we cannot process your CV as you donot have the relevant experience.
  • Candidate ,but i saw in the ad that training will be given to those who have not worked in the said field earlier..
  • Interviewer..well they should possess some basic understanding .
  • Candidate smells the.....defends himself as he is sure he is not selected.
The conversation ends here. But my point is why such a fuss, why this eyewash.I do not wish to mention other facts of the case as it would be leading to controversy. If the interviewer is sure about candidate's background, why the hell give such reasons or was it to test candidates ability to speak? To know that 2 questions or maximum 3 are sufficient. You can reject a person as you have the right as an interviewer and we at the receiving end cannot do much about it.But reason for rejection should be genuine.
Why the hell ,something is expected from which is apparent? This leads to disappointment and frequent occurrence of such a call may lead to depression.
A candidate may not be eligible for that particular job not he is not a bad candidate at all.His patience and skills are tested time and again for no reason.Rejection all the time will make even an eligible candidate  languish.
I know many would have undergone the same and people tell me 'gold is tested for its purity '.
I do understand the meaning of the word Perseverance.. But i cannot forget the meaning of the word Saturation.
