ನಾಡೊ ನುಡಿಯೋ ತಿಳಿಯದು ಸಾವಿರಾರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೋ

ಆಧುನಿಕತೆಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರವೋ, ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯದ ಬಿಂದುವೋ ಯಾವುದು ತಿಳಿಯದು ?!

ನಾಡಿನ ಉದ್ದಗಲಕ್ಕೂ ವಿವಿಧ ಕಲೆ ,ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಹಾಗು ಸಂಗೀತದ ಅಲೆ

ಹೇಗೆ ವರ್ಣಿಸಲಿ ನಾನು ಕನ್ನಡತನವನ್ನ ...

ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯ ಬಣ್ಣಿಸಲೋ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸೌಹಾರ್ದತೆಯನ್ನೋ

ಕೊಡಗಿನ ಬೆಡಗು ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನದ ಮೆರಗು ಜಲಪಾತಗಳ ಸೊಬಗು

ಹೇಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಲಿ ? ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದು?!

ನಯನ ಮನೋಹರ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಘಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪ್ಪುವ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಅಲೆಗಳೋ

ಗುಡಿ ಗೋಪುರಗಳಿಂದ ಶೋಭಿಸುವ ಹಳೇಬೀಡು ಬೇಲುರೋ

ವಾಸ್ತುಶಿಲ್ಪಅದ್ಭುತಗಳಾದ ಗುಮ್ಮಟ ಕೋಟೆ ಹಂಪಿಯ ಇತಿಹಾಸವೋ

ಅರಸರ ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ವೈಭವವನ್ನೋ, ಏನನ್ನು ವರ್ಣಿಸಲಿ ?

ಹೇಗೆ ಕೊಂಡಾಡಲಿ ನಾನು ಕನ್ನಡತನವನ್ನ ...

ಕೆಚ್ಚದೆಯ ರಾಣಿ ಚೆನ್ನಮ್ಮ, ದುರ್ಗದ ಓಬ್ಬವ್ವರ ಕುರಿತೋ

ನುಡಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಾಡ ಮೆರೆಸಿದ ಪುರಂದರ ಕನಕ ದಾಸರೊ

ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದ ಲಾಲಿತ್ಯ ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಿಸಿದ ಪಂಪ ರನ್ನ ಪೊನ್ನರನ್ನೂ

ಶತಮಾನದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಕವಿಗಳಾದ ಕುವೆಂಪು ಬೇಂದ್ರೆ ಮಾಸ್ತಿಯೋ

ಅನಂತ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿರುವ ಆಸ್ತಿಯೋ

ಹೇಗೆ ವರ್ಣಿಸಲಿ ನಾನು ಕನ್ನಡತನವನ್ನ ...

ಬಣ್ಣ ಬಣ್ಣದ ಆಟಿಕೆಯ ಮೇಳ ಎಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲೂ ಮಲ್ಲಿಗೆಯ ಶ್ರೀಗಂಧದ ಪರಿಮಳ !

ಈ ಸುಗಂಧದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆರೆತ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ವಿಶಾಲ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸ್ನೇಹದ ಭಾವವೋ

ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯದ ತೋಳಿನಿಂದ ಆಧುನಿಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಆಲಿಂಗಿಸುವ ಸ್ವಭಾವವೋ

ಕನ್ನಡ ನಾಡು ನುಡಿ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ನಾಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿಯುತ

ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರು ಎಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದರು ಕನ್ನಡತನವನ್ನು ಸಾರುತ

ಅದು ಎಷ್ಟು ಆಳವೋ ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಉನ್ನತ ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಉತ್ತುಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ

ವಿಜೃಂಭಣೆಯಿಂದ ರಾರಾಜಿಸುವ ಕಸ್ತೂರಿ, ನಮ್ಮ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಿರಿ

I am always amazed as I talk about Karnataka and Kannada language. Nothing but wonders me as to how a language or land can be blessed so abundantly with almost everything one can even think of the experience in one's lifetime. It is the epitome of rich culture and heritage. A history dating back to thousands of years and the tradition is being carried forward to even this day. How I wonder the land which has diverse art forms as well expertise in advanced technology keeping intact its tradition. The land has the most and breathtaking view of western ghats, the splendid waterfalls, everlasting lush spice, and coffee plantations of Kodagu and Chickamagaluru. The enticing dance forms of Yakshagana and Siddi. The architectural marvel of Hampi, Belur, Halebidu, and many more. The land nourished by the brave and the most courageous like Rani Chennamma and Obbavva, the literature and music laurates like Purandara Dasa and kanaka Dasa. The profusion of the Kannada language is evident by the works of Kuvempu, Bendre, and many other great poets. The land is a plethora of fragrance of sandalwood and jasmine, the essence of which has filled the hearts of Kannadiga’s with immense warmth and love. Wishing the linguistic richness and the deep-rooted tradition to flourish and prosper and reach its pinnacle and be immortalized by the natives.
